Organisations throughout the New England electorate are being urged to apply for funding under Round 2 of the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund.
The Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams said the Fund has two streams – Infrastructure Projects and Community Investments.
He said the Infrastructure Projects Stream supports projects which involve the construction of new infrastructure, or the upgrade or extension of existing infrastructure that provide economic and social benefits to regional and remote areas.

The Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams is urging organisations to apply for Round Two of the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund which will support further job creation and economic growth in rural and regional Australia.
Senator Williams said the Fund has two streams – Infrastructure Projects and Community Investments.
He said the Infrastructure Projects Stream supports projects which involve the construction of new infrastructure, or the upgrade or extension of existing infrastructure that provide economic and social benefits to regional and remote areas.
The Trustee for NSW RSL Zone 11 Bowling Association is to receive funding through the Veteran and Community Grants program.
The Association will receive $6,580 to purchase equipment to produce a newsletter, purchase bowls equipment and to undertake a series of bus trips to reduce social isolation according to the Nationals Duty Senator for Hunter John Williams.
He praised the Australian government program, saying local organisations and projects can make a real difference in the veteran community and ensure veterans and their families receive services, support and opportunities that will allow them to continue in active roles in their communities.
“I encourage such groups to apply for funding and applications can be submitted at any time at www.dva.gov.au/consultation-and-grants/grants”, Senator Williams said.

The Tweed Valley-Murwillumbah National Servicemen’s Association Sub-branch is to receive funding through the Veteran and Community Grants program.
The Sub-branch will receive $7,339 to undertake a series of bus trips to reduce social isolation according to the Nationals Duty Senator for Richmond John Williams.
He praised the Australian government program, saying local organisations and projects can make a real difference in the veteran community and ensure veterans and their families receive services, support and opportunities that will allow them to continue in active roles in their communities.
